The No.1 website for musicians
Equipped with the most authentic and expressive multi-sampled grands to ever adorn a stage piano, the RD-700SX represents the pinnacle of digital stage-piano design and performance. Driven by Roland’s most powerful sound engine, the RD-700SX enables the ultimate in sound and performance with two world-class grand piano waveforms at its core, and featuring 128-voice polyphonic performance, a Progressive Hammer-Action keyboard, and an expanded soundset (which includes brilliant electric pianos, authentic virtual tonewheel organs, and more). The RD-700SX is an unrivalled new breed of stage piano.
Not all piano tuners reject digitals out of hand (though some of wondr whether any copyright was paid to the pianomakers whose grands were sampled). I always recommend Roland pianos or stage use because their controls and displays are esy and quick to locate in live situations where there's little time for error and less light to see by. Mind you, if you've seen Jez Kahn demonstrate ond, don't expect to be able to duplicate everything he can do with one - he can do things with Roland keyboards that are definitely not in the instruction amnual. Just remember to reset the pitch to stndard A4=440Hz from the factory set 442 to avoid painful pitch mismatches.
