When I first got this thing I thought it was the dog's bollocks - compared to the Zoom 606 I used to have, it certainly is a big step up in quality. Great for use with headphones, some quirky modulation fx will keep you away from the missus for hours, but the wah is the weak point for me. Having had it for about three years now, I found that a few of the distortions are a bit lacking and sort of 'hollow' sounding through my amp (Marshall 8240 stereo chorus), so I now use it through the stereo fx loop for delay and modulation and use the amp's distortion, along with a little big muff and a digitech hot head.
The sample and play function is good fun - record yourself an eight second riff, loop it, get a drum machine and you can widdle away to your hearts content.
Well worth the £129 that I paid in 2005, great through yer 'phones, great for delay/reverb/modulation, a very versatile multi fx unit - but just falls short in the dirt department for me when amplified. The only other critisism is that the pitch shifter adds a slight delay which you CANNOT get rid of. Four stars our kid.

I was going to buy a volume pedal and i found this box second hand for less than what a volume pedal costs, yes, it has a volume pedal amongst other features.
I wasnt too crazy about the presets in this thing, they were mostly oversaturated metal sounds featuring way too much reverb but its pretty easy to build a good guitar sound from scratch, i havent actually opened the instruction manual that came with this unit because im a really lazy person so i have no idea how to save the sounds i make but i really only use this in a studio so i dont need like, um, 10 different sounds i can recall or whatever.
I would rate this four stars because the presets suck and some of the parameters are input numerically which is a drag, i wish everything worked by twisting knobs (maybe everything does work by twisting knobs but i dont know because i havent read the manual..)
