Initially I thought the bridge PAF-7 was a touch muddy, but once I'd fiddled about with the amp sim settings it sorted itself out.
I've got some very nice heavy distortions out of it and it goes clean with no problems whatsoever. I use no amps though - it's all going into the Line 6 Toneport DI and then Gearbox on the PC.
It does sustain a hell of a lot and you have to stick some noise gates/ suppressors in if you want proper tight riffing (at least I had to)
Overall It's a suprisingly effective all rounder but you'd have to change the bridge pickup (the pickups aren't high output at all really) or look elsewhere if you want a real metal monster because it's a subtler guitar than you might imagine
