I'm not sure what the hell this specification is on about.
My RG 350 has 3 powerful pickups that are well balanced even when tapped, and can produce sounds from jazz to thrash with no problem. The 5 way blade switch works as follows:- 1 - Bridge hunbucker, 2 - Tapped bridge and single middle, 3 -single middle, 4 - middle and tapped neck, 5 - neck humbucker.
The body on mine is black with a silver scratch plate which looks a bit rock to me. Having said that, I bought it for the sound it makes rather than what it looks like.
The neck is slim, smooth, and very fast. In fact it's so fast I have to restrain myself from playing all my solos with as many notes as possible! The jumbo frets are perfect for me. But I do find the shark fin inlays are a bit posey for my taste. But again, it wasn't bought for it's looks.
A Floyd Rose locking trem finishes the guitar off. And it works perfectly. Dive bombs and Harrier type take offs are no problem, and when you let go the guitar is still in tune. Which is allways a good thing! While I'm on this subject, I must mention the quality of the machine heads. I unlocked the nut and hammered the tremelo, and the machine heads on their own kept the guitar about 95% in tune. All hardware on the guitar is finished in black.
Conclusion.
Considering how little I payed for this guitar new, it's been fantastic. I've played guitars that cost 4 times what I payed for this one. And they don't hold a candle to it. It does make me wonder how good a top end Ibanez must be if this is the entry level model.
5/5 from me for this one.
