This is one killer axe, Duesenberg have excelled themselves and Gibson have alot of work to do if they want to stay ahead of these guys. Ok Gibson branded guitars are straight to mind but deep to pockets, fair enough you get what you pay for, however Duesenberg have been around for nearly 30 years and handbuild all their guitars in Germany.
The Starplayer TV is a show stopper, with total tone, stunning looks and out of this woild build quality makes this a highly sought after piece. Joe Walsh and Don Henly of the Eagles have recently purchased but old fav's are Ron Woods, Carl Carlton and Elvis Costello. Recent public events and TV appearances by the Kooks, The Black Crows and Paul McCartneys band were enriched by Doozys amongst a plethora of worlwide greats jumping on the band wagon.
The Starplayer sits somewhere between a Les Paul Standard and a Fender Telecaster delivering a great versatile sound to suit every style of playing from Rock to Rockabilly. My Doozy is left handed and comes factory built with an original Bibsby Trem, all right handed versions have Duesenberg Trems fitted but the lefty does have a higher premium but ultra rare as Duesenberg don't and won't mass produce guitars let alone leftys.
