i bought mine second hand for £200 and i love it!
i use it frequently for gigs and it has never let me down! (well once but that was because i didnt change the strings for like a year!)
not only is it strong and looks nice but it sounds brilliant!
i have actualy receievd complements about its sound after gigs! thats how good it is!
it feels nice to play and stays in tune perfectly!
buy one!.... now!!!
I was looking for a cheap, bomb-proof Telecaster to take with me travelling alongside a Pocket Pod. I tried various options Squire and Fender badged in the under £500 category and this Mex Standard sounded and felt the best. With a bit of haggling in the shop I walked away with it for £275 - and it's a fantastic guitar. If all Mex Teles are build and sound like this one I agree with Rayjaysonic give one a go and save your cash.
Why buy a USA made version when this Mexican is so good??? Looks, sounds and plays like a Tele! Unless you have the cash for a 1950 to 1960s original, save the cash on the USA version and go south of the border!!
