I tried one of these out at a local music shop based on the glowing reviews I have read on this site and others. After around 15 minutes of playing it through a '65 Deluxe Reissue on various pick-up settings and amp settings, the money popped out of my pocket and I became the proud owner of my first Tele!!
I have always played Strats and acoustic guitars, I also have a 335 style (Epiphone Sheridan to be exact) which I do enjoy as well, but never really gave a Tele more than a second glance. Being on a budget, isn't everyone, I couldn't justify spending money on anything but my beloved Strats. Man have I ever been cheating myself. This Tele is a joy to play! It sounds wonderful and it even looks great with the vintage blonde/black scratchplate/tinted maple neck coloring.
As the reviews say, everyone should have at least one Tele in their arsenal. This IS the one. Fender/Squire will sell millions of these. A fantastic value!! It sounds even better now that I have it at home and through my own gear.
