Alien Connections’ software falls down in the sound quality department but at least represents good value for money.

Extremely ‘editable’. The VST host is great Good value for money.
Sounds are too bright. Can get very complicated. System-intensive. The preset tones aren’t great. Not too many high-gain sounds.
It’s not the best guitar amp/effect simulator on the market, but ReValver Mk II is highly editable and doesn’t cost the earth.
