I started out with version 10 of this program and have since then moved up from 11 to this one. Out of the previous ones I used, this version of MAGIX has some much better loops to work with and the synthesizers are so much fun, I'm still learning all the things magix has to offer, but for a beginner I couldn't ask for a better priced program that offers so many features. The effects that are offered are really nice and simple to use.
The only bad thing is that there isn't very many hip-hip or pop/rock sounds to work with, it's got some great electro/trance loops but I usually have to combine genres just to make a decent pop rock track.
