Sound quality as you would expect was true VOX. Great Sound. Very bright if you are not acustomed to the sound. The tone controls are hyper sensative. I loved the Sound, the chanel options, the EF86 circuit is sweet. It looks great in the blonde tolex. ive seen a mahogany ltd edition looks even better. However it was unreliable to say the least. I never gigged this amp just home use only (so it was well looked after). I could have had the 'bad' one but after a replacement set of output tubes and blown fuses the shop took it back. Note after a few hours of playing it in, the sound started to break up badly. I decided to investigate and found that all the pre-amp valves were loose in there sockets and the retainers were noty fitted correctly. Could have been effected by the shipping form China or poor build quality.
Either way you look at it at nearly £800 you would expect better reliabilty and build quality - great sound undone by reliabilty issues.
