Enabling two basses to be instantly ready to rock, it's a bass player’s dream

The B-500DR takes Ampeg innovation to a new level, combining a digital interface with a traditional preamp and a state-of-the-art MOSFET power amp. Featuring separate inputs for use with two different instruments and digitally-encoded controls for gain, EQ, and effects blend, the Ampeg B-500DR delivers 500-Watts of bone-crushing power.
With its digital interface, the B-500DR can store and recall up to four individual EQ scenes, which you define and then access via the front panel, or by footswitch. Possible uses might include a slap bass preset, solo gain boost, or low-/mid-frequency boost. Or, you could use it to save specific tone presets for your favorite basses.

Ease of operation. Ampeg sound quality. Raw power.
Switches seemed flimsy.
Highly effective and practical too, it’s a really good all-rounder, with volume to spare and offering a high threshold of good clean powerful sound, essentially what we’ve come to expect from Ampeg.
