Kanye West to have a hand in hip-hop puppet show?

Series could be coming next year

Kanye West is reported to be developing a hip-hop puppet show that could air in 2009.

According to Billboard, a pilot has already been shot, with West taking on hosting responsibilities. However, if the show gets the green light, the plan would be to have a different celebrity presenter each week.

West is said to be acting as executive producer on the project, as is fellow rapper Rhymefest. Both artists would provide music for the series, which seems to be conceptually similar to The Muppet Show.

We can only hope that it'll be as entertaining as this clip of Sesame Street's Bert & Ernie going gangsta.

This isn't the first extra-curricular activity that Kanye West has engaged in – earlier this year, it was widely reported that he was planning to open 10 Fatburger restaurants in his native Chicago.

His new album, 808s and Heartbreak, is scheduled for release on December 16.
