Warwick announces the Star Bass II
The German bass gurus at Warwick have always been innovators, but the company’s new Star Bass II four-string hollowbody bass guitar proves that they can do retrograde rather well too.
The Star Bass II is a sexy update of the classic Framus Star Bass, a version of which was played by Bill Wyman in The Rolling Stones in the mid 1960s.
A hollowbody design, the top and back are crafted from bubinga, while the set neck is ovangkol with a wenge fretboard. Twin passive MEC CRB single coil pickups promise both warmth and low noise performance.
The Star Bass II is available from May 2008 in a variety of gloss and satin finishes, priced from £1739 UK RRP.
