Kanye West wins best hip-hop artist at BET awards

West also takes best collaboration award with T-Pain

Kanye West won twice at this year's annual Black Entertainment Awards (BET), scooping best male hip-hop artist and best collaboration for Good Life featuring T-Pain. Hip-hop act UGK (aka Underground Kingz) also took home two awards – best group and video of the year for International Player's Anthem featuring Outkast.

Never one to hide behind modesty, Kanye had this to say when picking up his second gong: "I am one of the kings in this game right now and my opinion counts – that's why I did a song with T-Pain".

Other victors include Alicia Keys and Chris Brown for best female and male R&B artist respectively, Missy Elliot for best female hip-hop artist and The Dream for best newcomer.
