Glasvegas frontman James Allan: The MusicRadar video interview

2008 has been some year for Glasvegas. Since signing to Columbia Records after a major label bidding war, the quartet from the east end of Glasgow have recorded and released a debut LP that is many people's album of the year. The singles Daddy's Gone and Geraldine already sound like broken-hearted classics.

With a support slot with Oasis at the Electric Proms and rapturously-received festival sets under their belts, most bands would be forgiven for resting on their laurels. Instead, Glasvegas headed to a Transylvanian cathedral in October to record a Christmas album featuring a Romanian choir.

Just a couple of days before the release of A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss), MusicRadar caught up with Glasvegas singer, songwriter, guitarist and former professional footballer James Allan.

After supporting Echo & The Bunnymen at their massive anniversary show at Liverpool's Echo Arena the night before, the band brought their wall of sound to Bristol for the first leg of their biggest UK headline tour to date.
