SR202 & VIsta

Im trying to run the SR202 drum sampler with sonar 7 on a new vista PC, but each time I try to load it I get a message saying its caused a fatal error and sonar promptly closes. Can anyone help??
Failing that does anyone know of a cheap/free drum sampler thtat would work one my system? I know battery is amazing, but im broke and its damn expensive! :?

The 202 was created quite a while ago so *may* not play with Vista. Dunno - I'm still on XP!

As for free drum samplers (as opposed to just samplers) they are a bit thin on the ground, but try (our very own) de la Mancha's Erratic - http://www.delamancha.co.uk/erratic.htm - it's wicked.

Or: The rather good Shortcircuit sampler has just become freeware - http://www.vemberaudio.se/ - it does velocity layers and choke / exclusive. Nice.

I use Vista and Sr-202 works fine for me, no problems at all.

It's clear that it is time for Computer Music to reopen contracting with Muon Software to update the Computer Music Studio VSTs developed by Muon. We have a new generation of operating systems and VST hosts (Vista and Intel Macs) and these are considerable changes from when the plugs were originally released or last updated. i started a thread asking about who we should contact, as interested Magazine Customers and Users...
