Well sadly there's absolutely nothing I can do about the placement of the monitors or the room treatment for at least 4-6 months as i've just finished renovating my place for sale and really dont want to have a ton of soundproofing all over the place!

Which leads me onto the sale of the Virus.......funds! I can't keep the Virus AND go down the DSP/Monitor route sadly and weighing it all up I think i'd benefit more from the latter right now. I can get the Virus plugin with the powercore as well if I need/want to.

The powercore probably suits me better I think, the reverbs are pretty good and a good portion of my CPU is crushed with those great big reverbs I use. The character plug is excellent as well and quite frankly anything is better than the Cubase native EQ

p.s. the room i'm in is closer to 270sq ft!

Yes but it's all open plan with the kitchen and I have a 40" TV in there too and a massive sofa and blah blah blah!!!

The space soon gets gobbled up!
