Default Sending money overseas?

Does Germany count as overseas?
I'm buying a guitar off a guy there and I need to transfer the money to him. We were gonna do it through Paypal but that tries to charge him €10 to get to it....

Is there any other good/safe ways?

i think you will find anyway you try and send it there will be a cost involved

bank transfers and all this western union rubbish that i certainly would not recommend all have charges

I would stick with paypal and send as a gift that way you get the option to pay the fee instead of him

so ok you loose out on £10 but how much do you want the guitar?

Paypal charges £10? For a normal paypal transaction?

Failing that - you can get your bank to send money to anywhere within the EU - you just need the IBAN number.

I think it's just that paypal charges to withdraw funds, so we decided to split that amount.

It's not a lot extra and I think paypal is probably the safest way to do these kinds of distractions so I just bit the bullet and did it.

It doesn't cost anything to transfer your paypal funds to a bank account. How is he trying to withdraw it?

I must have a different kind of account then because I certainly don't get charged for withdrawing funds.
