just a quick question for those that have them....

the 5w/50w switch and the clean/blues switches is it ok to switch between them with the amp running or should I put it on standby first..??

If you mean "is it ok to switch channels and switch power modes when the amp is switched on?". The answer is yes. If you think about it you are not going to switch to standby just before you stand on the foot switch to change channel and then flick it back to on in the middle of playing.

I have had my express about 10 months now and have switched power modes many times without switching to standby. No pops, no crackles, and most importantly no smoke !

Oh ok. When you wrote blues/clean I thought you meant channels. You mean switching bettween clean/crunch on the one channel and blues/burn on the other channel. There is no problem there I do it all the time.
