Yeh a lot of things get talked about at work and people chat about them generally, however when this was mentioned it was a proper "ooohhh now that's interesting" moment.

I bet they're glad they managed to sign new contracts with Drogba, Terry and Cole!

No way in the world that the ban will last for that long, but even so, it`s going to take the lawyers some time to change anything.

Gotta laugh though! All that dosh and no way to spend it! lol.

My suspicion is that it'll get reduced to just the coming transfer window in the winter.

That must be a dismal place to work.

Good point. I pretty much lost interest in football when it got to the point that clubs like Chelsea could field an entire first team, none of whom had English as a first language or could find Chelsea on a map. Add-in foreign management and ownership and any relationship to Chelsea is in name only. They might as well be called club 22B for all the relevance they have to their locality.

Sorry if this sounds like a xenophobic rant; it isn't meant to be. I just believe that with all the huge amounts of cash bloating the premiership a lot more could be done to encourage home-grown talent rather than reverting to the easy option and buying the latest hot-shot from Europe or south America.
