Ive got a Crybaby GCB95 and i want to put an LED in there as i always forget if its on or not. How would i go about doing this? Would I just put in in line between the switch and the circuit board, or is it more hassle than its worth?

It's more effort than that - the switch switches audio signals, not power. You'll need a new switch with an extra pole and you'll need to tap into the ground and 9v lines at the right places on the PCB.
Plenty of guides online.

Alternatively, build a true bypaas box and use that as a master on/off for the wah.
That way you'll end up with a usefull gadget, sort the tone suck, integrate an LED and preserve the Cry Baby in it's original state. It's a win win win win situation! K |

But you'll not be able to just plonk your foot on the wah and switch it on in one move. So it's a win-win-win-win-lose. Still bloody good though!

Aye fair enough. I don't mind the switch though. All the cry baby's I've had have been a pain to switch on and the auto-on ones I've had have been noisy.

Hmm, the bypass box sounds cool. The switch on the wah does annoy me so im happy to just leave it on. I suppose the battery wont last as long then though.
Decisions decisions... I take it building a bypass box is fairly simple?

There's also a great video on youtube which seems to explain fitting the LED and the required 3PDT switch in great detail (not that I've tried it yet) A few more trial diy builds and soldering skills improvement for me first
