Behringer VD400, about £25. I have one and it's very good, a near copy of the Boss DM-2/3. Not as good as my Deluxe Memory Man (which has to be the king of analoge delays) but the Beri is something I use a lot and happily take out to rehersals, jam nights, gigs... etc

I tried the Behringer Echo machine, and it put me off them a bit. It was like using a hurricane, and any of the guitar signal I could hear had been sucked beyond anything I could have imagined. Also, I'd like more than 350ms of delay, I like quite a lazy feel to the repeats.

The Echo Machine is just some digital chimpery in a box, done on teh cheap - which is why it may put you off. It's designed to mimic the Line 6 Echo Park (which is a pretty good do-it-all delay). The VD400 is a proper analoge BBD delay pedal. Definately check it out

The VD400 (vintage delay 400) isn't £15, that'll be a cheapo digital delay. You want the VD400, it's about £25-30 new.
