I like them too - great for learning stuff quickly.
We could always set up our own library system ... |

I also a subscriber and bought several DVDs from lick library
What I do not like in lick library is that they are not publish TABs which make it very hard to learn. You need to rewind 20 times to get a big lick down and it is cutting of your practice sessions too much. They are unable to release TAB files because of the legal issue but still I do not understand why they are not publish tabs for there non commerical music dvds such as legato technique / tapping and so on dvds they are selling.

I really like the Lick Library DVDs, I find they're a much better way for me to learn than just reading books. I'm thinking of subscribing to their site as I may need to buy a couple of Beatles backing tracks anyway and it looks like there may be a lot of useful videos on there.
I also find the lack of tab frustrating sometimes as it takes me ages to tab my own, but when I have time to sit down with the DVD I find I learn a lot.

Hi
I watched the voodoo child(jimi hendrix) video steps on youtube but the thing I found that part of it was wrong, and also the hey joe solo was wrong as well. I worked out how to play both by putting both tracks on repeat and slowly trying to learn. But half the tabs on the web are wrong, half the tab/notation books are wrong. So either people should learn songs by ear or just play them wrong. |
