Some of you may know that I bought a Peavey Valveking VK100 amp and matching cab about a month ago. I have since decided, with the help of a Marshall Mode Four, that the Valveking is not for me.

It sounds good and looks great but it's just not "me". If that makes sense?

Both head and cab are in near mint condition - it's still under manufacturers warranty too.

I paid £350 for it and that's what I'd like to get back. Obviously shipping is nigh on impossible so it's a collection job from the Southampton area - although I would be willing to meet halfway - say up to about 30 miles?

Ash - Have you considered one of these? Proper good backup if nothing else.

Yeah, at the moment i need a head to replace my JVM if i get it, which will probably be a TSL, then a combo for functions, so dont really have the Gas funds for 2 heads atm!

It's on the 'bay for £350 but taking into consideration the fees involved, I'll take £330 from a forumite.

I'm interested in having a look. I live in the Soton area so please let me know where/when I can pop over.
Already have a valvking combo 112 - I'm hoping though this has a bettter treble and bass sound as the combo seems to be all mid range. I'll PM you now.

The above is for sale again.

I had a buyer but unfortunately the amp developed a fault and obviously I had to tell the bloke. Understandably he pulled out of the deal and has since bought another amp.

I have since paid out for a full amp service and a new 6L6 - I have receipts for both and the service is guaranteed for a year. So, 350 quid for a fully serviced Valveking head and 4x12. It's positively bargainous!

Any interest?
