WOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH
You can do them yourself well easy and they charge a fortune for them. What exactly do you want to change about the pedal? I have the following ready made mods for the BD2 : "Full Body" "Tube" "Hot Rod" "Brent Mason" "Tweed" "Fuzz" Give me a shout if you want any help. K |

Yeh I figured that.
The Monte stuff is easy to do if you take your time. It's a bit more expensive than buying the bits yourself and you won't learn much about pedal building but you will end up with a decent pedal. P&P is a few quid so the kit will be about £20 delivered to your door. If you want details of the mods I listed above just shout - the total will probably be £5 for the bits. If you have a soldering iron & screwdriver you can do them no probs. K |

How do your mod's differ then Kev ? I've modded 2 BD-2s now (each one slightly differently) and can get some very good results with just a few caps changes and a few diode changes.

I'm just curious really, my modded BD-2 is probably my 'go to' dirt pedal of choice fopr my Tele, just curious how your 6 mods differ tonally, and if I can learn something to upgrade / improve my BD-2.

Ah sorry - Thought you meant details of the mods as in component values, etc!
The descriptions are all pretty much self-explanatory really. My personal favourite is the "Tube" mod and makes use of (amongst other things!) a Germanium tranisistor in place of D10. The "Full Body" mod thickens it up and removes any TS808-like honk and turns it into a proper beefy pedal. Almost like a OCD with the LP filter selected. The "Hot Rod" mod tightens up the top end and makes the pedal scream. Very "Marshall Stack". "Brent Mason" is self-explanatory. The "Tweed" mod is mental and (amongst other mods) replaces 5 diodes with Germanium transistors. Sounds very "tweedy"! Believe it or not! K |
