Default How do I get wood?

Where do I go in London to buy some nice bits of wood? Like, rosewood or maple and that, but only in small quantities? B&Q obviously ain't the place, and the timber merchants I've tried don't seem to have what I'm after.

Call David Dyke at luthier supplies. He will help you out for sure.
What kind of stuff/sizes do you need? I might have some stuff in the workshop...

Wicked, his site has everything eh?

All I need is a fingerboard blank, but nothing remotely flash as it's only for this. It's the first time I'm trying to shape and fret the 'board and I'm trying to spend as little as possible.

Cheers Tony! I've just updated it with a load of stuff and another mini-project.

I really dig your blog too, hopefully I'll manage some guitar building on that level before long.
