Exclamation

i write as i listen
first track:
omg you have some serious issues there my friend
it sounds as if you have everything in the red and clipping everywhere this isnt a mastering problem.
are you recording too hot on the way in?
do you have everything clipping?
is the mp3 conversion done correctly?
i had to load my own page up just to check that it wasnt my pc that was dying.
my advice would be to post in the computers section with a link to your tracks stating the problems your having above then you will be able to get more help that way
sorry bud i couldnt listen to it

Ahh this really sucks. I think it has somethign to do with the embedding of mp3 files on my host site - which is soundclick.com. People have been telling me they hear lots of clicking and wooshing effects. The songs play fine in my itunes, but the weird thing is when i play the soundclick mp3's they sound fine on my comp. I wonder. I guess I'll just make a myspace account and post them there.

Default Awesome song

Listening to Twin Town's right now. You must have fixed the audio issue the other guy was complaining about.
It sounds great now. Halfway through while typing, and I'm quite impressed. It's catchy, sounds high quality, and the drums are neat. I'm listening to this on bad quality laptop speakers, and it still is coming out good, so you mastered it pretty well.
If you put yourself on Jamendo I'll favourite you as an artist, cuz I'd really like to get a copy of this song at least. Plus, I'm curious to see what else you make :P
Please PM me if you get on that site, thanks.

Default Just trying to help.

Myspace is awful compared to Soundclick. I found the best results on Soundclick are when you post a higher bit rate than 128 (less than 10MB file size of course) and let Soundclick reduce it to 128. If you post 128 then it sounds sh!t.

Grum.

Firstly, I recommend http://soundcloud.com/ for sound quality, but so many of these sites are very crunchy because they are using terrible bit reduction algorithms.

The first of the two Twin Town tracks was still a little crackly around the edges. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant track with a good structure and seemed well recorded. Not sure how you dithered down to mp3, but I always recommend mixing down to a 24 bit wav (if you have been tracking in 24-bit) and then dither from that in something like iTunes.

Maybe a touch too much reverb on the vocals for my liking, but otherwise good. Keep it up.
