My band use programmed drums and samples running from a computer and we are wondering the best way to rig this up for a live situation. Do we need an interface in which case can anyone suggest one that works with vista, or can we just rig the laptop straight into a channel on the mixer/pa from the stage.
We know the theory works as we link the laptop straight to the rehearsal spaces pa, but in a real live situation, where we want all parts to be heard, what is the best approach and what additional cables/equipment are required. Many Thanks Chris D |

This isn't really my area but our drummer has suggested a few backing parts/samples that he could trigger himself using electronic drum pads. I think that might work best in a live situation.
