Default Behringer iAxe USB interface + Native Instruments Guitar Combos

Got this from Maplin's Yesterday. 39 squids.
Comes with Audacity, which is quite good.
The N.I. Guitar Combos is not bad either, except for a latency issue I seem to have: There is a perceptible delay that renders it almost unusable.
What (if anything) am I doing wrong?
I've adjusted the input and output latency parameters to the minimum I can get away with, without the sound going screwy.
There's no probs going straight to Audacity, except you can't hear what you're doing 'til playback.
Does anyone have any answers? Or is it just cheap gear not doing the job?

have you the aiso4all drivers installed? if not they should help with latency..

also in Audacity there will be an option to 'monitor' what is being played, but if you are already having latency issues turning that on won't help...

Yes I've installed that aiso4all software, but I can't get it to work with the USB doo dah.
I'm a real div when it comes to this sort of thing. I've shied away from computer recording software for ages, cos I can't get my head round it (even though I did sound engineering at college 10 years ago, with old ataris and the original cubase!)
The aiso software that came with it won't even install.
As usual, it's all gone tits-up.
I can't find any function to monitor the input sound in Audacity, either.

The one rule about Computer recording is do not monitor your input (use your amp).
I've yet to find a program/hardware with zero latency when monitoring.
And I'm using a quad core computer with a digidesign interface and pro-tools and still can't get zero latency

Don't know if this is much different got Guitar Link UCG102 USB Interface from Maplins, had same problems.
Resolved by ensuring USB is plugged directly into PC, and re-installing the driver.
No latency problems at all, works great.
Only problem now with Audacity, does not show the driver.
