Ok so it's not up there with some of you guys' epic GAS adventures, but you can't argue with free GAS!
My girlfriend and I went to her parents place in Scotland the other weekend and they had her old guitar packed away in a cupboard. It's an 80's Aria Pro II RS Wildcat, and while its metal stylings are a little cheesy, and I would never actually pay for a guitar like it, it actually plays and sounds rather nice. It was an absolute state when I pulled it out, the fretboard was hardly visible under the ming and muck and it was missing a few parts. So I brought it back down to london and cleaned it up and I'm quite pleased to have one more toy to play with ![]() ![]() ![]() The 'bucker can actually be split with the tone knob which is quite handy. I had to improvise a clamp system on the headstock as part of it was missing, but some bolts and washers serves the purpose!

Free is good
![]() I agree about the 80s stylings of that guitar, but I rate Aria - mine is top quality. Good swag. ![]()

I love those!
They play and sound great once set-up. I love Aria's attempts at 80s rawk designs - far more interessting than the usual suspects. Lovely body shape.

Erm, actually long time ago I used to want one of those because Alan Murphy (RIP), the guitarist for Kate Bush and Go West used to play one.
