Talking Wii homebrew goodness!

My Wii / SD Card adapter just arrived! It fits in the Gamecube card slot so I can install homebrew on a Wii now! Yay!

Let's have a shufti at the instructions then:

Before using this convertor, firstly you need to put the SD/MMC card into the identified card implement of the computer, then use the format SD in dvddump of config 1.2 downloaded from web formatting, then put this SD/MMC card in the convertor to use, finally you can test to use this card to copy the game of Wii or Gamecube to the computer, and so on.
Errr.... Yay! Errr....

The funny bit is the poorly translated instructions! Oh well...

It's amateur software basically, usually for videogame consoles or iPhones etc. Although not intrinsically illegal a lot of homebrew is aimed at copying games. Personally I just like to modify machines to make them do cool stuff after they've outlived their original purpose - my oldschool xbox is now a network enabled media centre for example, attached to the TV and stereo downstairs.

Yeah but I can use this for my GameCube too. For £6 it was worth a punt I thought
