hi

Me and my friends want to go to festival and travel somewhere. So I though I would combine the two. So I have been looking at european festivals but what I'm lacking is people who have had the experience of going to music festival abroad. So anyone who has been or is planning on going can you please let me know how it went and what you think of the idea.

I would also like some recommendations on festivals. The cheaper the better but we would like to see a few bands we have heard of, so not too cheap. We don't really mind where we go but as we are planning on driving down so we can see the site along the way it can't be too far. Also any website or forum that would help lots.

Any info will be very much appreciated and I hope this will help anyone else looking to do a similar thing.

Be careful where you buy your tickets there are a lot of rip off web sites

I think i'm playing at 'vlam fest' in belgium this year.
However, ive got no idea what its like, seems to have a decent reputation but i dont think many huge huge bands play there.

Although, looking at this year's lineup, it's weak compared to previous years. Supposed to be a great Festival though.
