Completely 100% sure of it, he brought it over to see if i knew what model it was - 5 seconds later and i found it (had seen it online earlier that day), initially thought it might have been a fake (no hard case) or stolen for that price but the my friend knows the guy and remembered him buying it last year.

My friend was given a genuine gibson les paul double cut (is that what its called cant be arsed ot look it up) by a friend of hers who didnt want it anymore

Also played an open mic night few years back and there was an acoustic guy really great playing and singing he was playing a Taylor he said that it was his friends dads guiar that had been in loft unplayed for a while and he dint need it anymore so sold it to this guy for £150

madness

Bottom line- It takes motor skills and practice to develop fast clean playing but a brain to use it wisely and rock guitarists are still recovering from the 80's.

Twasn't afaik, he was pretty certain anyway. The lack of hard case did make me think that though....

Yup - thats sounds like some drug addict selling off his latest steal...for a fix and has NO IDEA of what its worth or just wants a fix and doesn't care or have time to wait. Surely no sane mind knowing its true value would "give it away" for that kind of money. IMO of course.
