Default What do you regret NOT buying

Never mind what you sold and wished you hadn't.
Back in the 80s, if it wasn't a "super-strat" with Khaler or Floyd vibrato, it was worth
diddly-squat!
Todays vintage classics could then be had for peanuts!
I should have bought when I had the chance:

Vox Phantom XII - Wanted a Teardrop shape Vox really, so declined.

Burns Bison - My mate had a Jazz Split Sound I wanted, saw the Bison in a shop but didn't like the "horns".

Gibson L6S - The Les Paul was still out of reach, but I could have had this for a couple of weeks wages (about £160) Ciggies, beer and L.Ps were more important.

Squier Stat - Possibly a JV, but I don't actually know. Just put this one in cos I remember it being on sale as "early 80s". Didn't buy it as I already had a Strat "copy"
and decided I didn't need another.

Doubtless there were others, but these stick in my mind.

A Gibson ES 335 for 550 quid in the late 80s.

A heavily used PRS Hollowbody 1 a couple years back - was going to do a straight swap for a custom 22 but thought it might not be "rock" enough......... best sounding non-solid body guitar ive played though

A few more Washburn N4s when I got mine - they were going for £600 on eBay, and now they're up to about £1300. Gutted.

Oh, and a pair of ADA MP-1 MIDI tube preamps which went on eBay for about £150 the pair.

I probably should have bought a Gibson Kiefer Sutherland signature when there were 2 dollars to the pound!

A Fender Telecaster in natural finish that I played in Johnny Roadhouse, Manchester in the early 2000s. Had a really unusual palm-filling neck down low, which thinned out and became eminantly solo-able at the dusty end - never found another one like it, and for me it was soooooooooooooooooo comfortable

A little, mid-1920's, Gibson L1 acoustic I played in Manson's a few years ago. It was light as a feather and in good, very playable condition despite a few repairs and sounded lovely. It had 'The Gibson' on the headstock in that nice, pre-war swirly script.
At the time I owned a 1916 Gibson F4 mandolin and it would have made a great companion for it. Oh well...
