Default The Official G_S should sell JS his Joe Perry Les Paul thread

Here's the deal:

For as long as I've known Guitar_Slinger, he has owned a '97 Blackburst Joe Perry signature Les Paul (Remind me: Is it the production model or the Custom Shop?). I have never seen this guitar, but as a lifelong Aerosmith fan, I have frequent dreams about it which necessitate a change of underwear. This guitar was reviewed in the first issue of Guitarist I ever bought, which means I have wanted one for 12 years.

G_S has always told me that he would trade said guitar for my Marshall Silver Jubilee half stack, which is worth similar money and is similarly rare. I always said, "No deal, I'm going to die owning the Jubilee."

Unfortunately, yesterday someone offered me the full value (and arguably then some) of the Jubilee in cash. Dollar signs lit up in my eyes, and now I am Jubilee-less. My ticket to owning G_S's guitar is gone, and my dreams are dashed. Of course, I am going to be driving a much nicer car from now on, but that doesn't make me look or sound much more like Joe Perry.

So I have begun this thread to enlist the forumites' help in persuading the 'Slinger to part with his awesome guitar. Or at least getting it out from under his bed. From what I can tell, the guitar isn't actually seeing any use. C'mon dude, what's it gonna take?

Then you will be glad to learn that if there is ever a Boneyard going cheap on eBay, you will not have to compete with me to buy it.

Hopefully the next guitar I buy will be a Gibson LP, but not for a long while

I'll give you 50p each for them.

Now in my defence you never said stupid money had to be vastly over the value
