Default LCD TV help....please.

Why does my brand spanking new Panasonic TV have strange white dots and lines on the screen when I'm using a DVD player. I've tried 3 different players and several discs and it's the same on each one.

There's an "overscan" function on the TV which essentially zooms in about an inch all round the screen but you lose definition - I think it's unnaceptable.

I shouldn't have to change from 16:9. If you do then you "zoom" the picture in and lose definition.

I have the same occasionally on freeview and dvd with my new Panasonic. I believe it's the fault of the source rather than the telly. Most TV's auto overscan from what I''ve seen and I'm guessing they do so for this very reason.
