My Digitech Grunge has developed a peculiar problem.
It won't work with batteries any more and takes about 20 seconds to power up with its 9 volt adapter; the volume and distortion increases slowly, as does the brightness of the led. Works fine after that as long as the adapter is kept plugged in. Any Ideas? |

A problem with the power input area on the circuit board A fried transistor/op-amp (though, this would affect the general sound) A problem with the switching jack sockets, not making a decent connection to let the pedal know it's 'plugged in'. Failing that, maybe the battery snap has come loose (tug gently on it and you'll soon find out!). The other thing is, has the pedal got wet recently? (Beer-related gig accident, for example...)
