Default Finally buying a bass!!

Okidoki then, i'm finally taking the plunge and i'm going to buy a new bass guitar for my recording shenanigans! I'm not going to buy an expensive one as it's for recording only. My budget is £145 max and i've narrowed it down to 4 basses. Only one i've tried though. MY shortlist goes like this.
Yamaha RBX170 £111-£116
Yamaha RBX270 £146
Ibanez GSR180 £116
Ibanez GSR200 £140-£146
All passive as I can EQ it if I need. I've only tried the Ibanez GSR200 though and it really impressed me (Lovely neck and feel!). I'll be trying out the 2 Yamaha's tomorrow and i'm really looking forward to it. I could do with a bit of input and thought on whether there is a "Best of the bunch" here. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The RBX270 is a very nice bass indeed.

Amazing for the money IMHO.

+1.

The RBX270 was my first bass about 8 years ago, and whenever I pick it up it still amazes me how good it is for the money...

I went for the RBX270 in Natural Satin. Very nice indeed, Sadly though the nut has already broken at the bottom E string, cracked and broken off! Doh! So it's going back on Friday or Saturday. I'm gutted it's a lovely looking bass, ah such is life!

Default passive

passive pickups is the best way to go because you wont be tied to a battery.
