Dear Chaps
I'm contemplating purchasing the above guitar which I can hopefuly get for about £460 new. I think it's part of their Heritage series and got a grand review in Performing Musician http://www.performing-musician.com/p...lewoodtw55.htm. I was just wondering if any of you had any experience of these Tanglewoods or this particular model. Cheers and Happy New Year tunaboy777 |

I have played one and liked it a lot. This is on my shortlist along with Faith Jupiter and Yamaha LL or LJ series

Hi
Thanks for the feedback. I went for it in the end and it is indeed a lovely guitar. Got it from Coda Music in Luton for £468 (they've got 20% off all Tanglewoods until 10/01/09). Sweet. tunaboy777 |

Cool guitar. I've got the TW55N-NS, which is the older model of your's I believe. Great acoustics for the money, I paid £330 for mine about four or five years ago.
Sample of it in action.. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nohso-SqF78 ![]() |

Interesting review; it sounds as though it works very well as an electro but he has a few caveats about its pure acoustic performance. I wouldn't put much stock in a review which suggests the guitar will sound better given time; he doesn't know and not all acoustics do.
If a guitar doesn't sound great when I try it, it stays in the shop; there are no guarantees about future performance. |
