Two types of game required...
One for grown ups: I quite like first person shooters but there seems to be loads on the market. COD4 seems to be favourite but what about COD World At War, Mercinaries or BioShock? One for kids. Nothing overly violent and something that a 4/5 year old could enjoy too. Actually you could extend the kids game to the Wii too. Thankyou please.

COD4 is great online. I've hardly played the main game to be honest because I've been enjoying the online part so much.

I've bought COD4 so I can join in the forum games and I've been enjoying the single player side of things as well.
Little Big Planet may appeal to kids but it is also a great game that you could enjoy.

Wibbly Jnr is loving Ratchet and Clank, and you simply cannot go wrong with CoD4 for both single player or online multi-player mayhem. Rich

She's 11 in January.
Oopsie, didn't finish reading your OP, me thinks Rachet and Clank would be to advanced and violent (in a cartoon way) for a 4/5 year old tbh. For a little one in that age range, maybe look at the lego games - can't honestly think of anything else on the PS3. On the Wii however you are totally spoilt for choice. You have the lego games again, any of the Mario games (Mario Party is pretty good as the mini games are really easy to play), Animal Crossing, tonnes of different "party" games, Boom Blox is fun, Cranium Kabook, the original MySims, Eledees, Zack and Wiki , de Blob......could go on ![]() Hope this helps a bit ![]() Rich

Zack and Wiki might get a bit too hard for young kids, but the first levels should be fun for them. I love ringing Wiki.
