Default a question

is it worth changing my tail pieces on my stratocaster bridge to grafite ones? i dont use the trem on it. will it improve sound or do people just do it for smooth string movement when using the trem?

An answer:
I had graphtech saddles on a Strat once (I don't use the trem either) and they darkened the sound quite a bit compared to the pressed steel ones I'd had on before. The steel ones were a bit corroded and seemed to rattle, so the graphtechs fixed that, but the sound wasn't to my taste. It's a relatively cheap and totally reversable mod though, so give it a try. Word of warning though.... not all strat bridge saddles are spaced the same, so be sure you're getting a set that will fit your guitar. Whatcha playing?

Waste of time fitting them if you don't use the trem IMO. ...that's what they were designed for.
