Hi guys, I have got ahold of a spidervalve to try out before I decide to buy one and one thing is puzzling me about it. When you change channels/sounds, the volume jumps up massively until you touch the volume pot. I do not understand this at all,. Surely this is a fundamental flaw. This would be a nightmare live. Any ideas???

No it's normal.

The volume setting is stored as part of the patch. Therefore, re-save/copy over the patch with the revised volume setting and when you go back to it - it'll be fine.

It's actually a better way of doing it. Means you can set volume for lead, rhythm, etc.

As in, when you save the sounds on say the pedal or on the four channels on the amp?? I suppose thats ok then as when your gigging the levels will be set. I take it this is what you mean???

Until of course you wish to change the level which you do by altering the master.

each channel keeps the channel volume at whatever it was at during the save process, just change the channel volume (not the master) on the loud ones and balance it with the others remembering to save everytime you change presets to check

Spidervalve head is 100 watts, and versatility means nothing when you've got a crappy pre-amp.
