Default Fuzz on a budget

I've just had an attack of uncontrollable GAS and this week I've aquired a Tele Lite Ash and one of those newfangled Vypyr 15s. I've reached my budget but meh, who needs money right?
I'm chasing some lovely fuzz but I want to spend as little as I can without ending up with pure trash.

So, Fuzz on a budget.
Any hot fuzz tips?

The famous Big Muff Pi (USA version) is pretty cheap now really....at less than 50 notes isnt that a budget fuzz?

http://guitare.playback-europe.com/p...artner=ciao_UK

and the Little Big Muff is even cheaper!

Bottom line- It takes motor skills and practice to develop fast clean playing but a brain to use it wisely and rock guitarists are still recovering from the 80's.
All in all sound is in the ear of the beer holder

The toadworks mad dog jr is slightly under fifty but so good you'll struggle to find a metaphor or similie to explain how good it is

Are you handy with a soldering iron? Why not have a crack at making one? Loads of fun and you can tweak them to get closer to what you're after.

The Biyang tonefancier Fuzz is great, their overdrive pedal is even better!

Gamlins were/are doing the MXR Hendrix Classic Fuzz for £60ish...

Sounds great as an OD alternative but doesn't have that Muff-like 'sludge' quality.

Depends what variety of fuzz you're after

I got one of these as a Big muff clone and its suprisingly good for such a low price.

http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/...ger-vd-1/68549

It says vintage distortion, but its much more of a fuzz than a distortion.

£23 from GAK with a free Venom Lead!
