Default on the radio..?

Hi Folks,

does anyone of you send your music to be played on online radio? If so, to which one do you send your music?

I'm googling around a bit and found several online stations, but I'm not really impressed by most of them..they seem a bit unprofessional, from merely looking at their websites.

This one here, for example: http://www.k94rocks.com has text on it's website is full of typos...

So, therefore: where do YOU send your music to be put 'on the air'?

Cheers,

M.T.Pilot

I'd be googling for podcasts instead of radio stations if I were you.
There are so many really good ones around for all styles of music and they are all looking for new music to play. There are a few advantages that I can see to being played on a podcast over an online station. If your track is played on the radio it is only heard by people listening at that time unless the show can be downloaded too. With a podcast people download it, usually automatically, and listen whenever they want to. They can also listen over and over again if they like it. People will also listen to old podcasts too. I haven't released a new podcast or done any promotion for over a year but I'm still getting thousands of people downloading the old shows every month so even tracks that I used almost 2 years ago are still being heard by plenty of new people each month. It's also much easier to find out more about a musician if you like something you hear. Most podcasts have a track list with them and will have a website with links to all the artists played on each podcast.
