Default Lightscribe

Hi

I am about to buy a lightscribe compatible dvd drive, but a bit unsure about the newer sata drives. Not being a pc techie, can someone explain the difference between the sata and normal dvd drives?

Pretty much bugger all. However, pretty soon motherboards will start coming out without IDE connectors, so SATA will be the only way forward (most mainstream/enthusiast boards only come with one IDE connector these days anyway).

In short, check that you've got a spare port of either type before you buy.
