Hi
I am about to buy a lightscribe compatible dvd drive, but a bit unsure about the newer sata drives. Not being a pc techie, can someone explain the difference between the sata and normal dvd drives? Rob |

Pretty much bugger all. However, pretty soon motherboards will start coming out without IDE connectors, so SATA will be the only way forward (most mainstream/enthusiast boards only come with one IDE connector these days anyway).
In short, check that you've got a spare port of either type before you buy.
