Default strap problem - help!

I've noticed in the last week that (bear with me, I think this is going to be tricky to explain!) my Levy suede strap is looking less and less secure! The small bit of the strap that loops through the larger bit - the bit that goes through the holes in the picture under the 'suede' link - I can't get it to link directly:

http://www.levysleathers.com/2008%20...therFacts.html

is pulling through said holes (there's a wider bit of suede, but it is working it's way through the hole). It's only a matter of time before it comes through and my precious guitar slips to the floor! That time was very nearly last night, but I spotted it soon enough to rectify it!

My question (at last, and if anyone has survived this far!) is, does anyone else have this problem, and how do you prevent it? The only thing I can think of is a very un-rock 'n' roll safety pin! (unless I use lots of safety pins and make it all 'punk' ).

ARe you not supposed to loop the long& thin bit of the strap through a hole strap proper, and then also through the hole in itself (i.e. the wider bit that is currently pulling through)? This would stop it pulling through - and is what I've done on all of my straps. I may be missing something though - I am blond.

Maybe it's me that's blond Now, that does sound more sensible than what I've done Thanks, Manic *embarrassed*

A scientist, but still a girl

Now I think about it, I messed around with it a few weeks ago, it was probably OK up until then

In my feeble defence, I hurt my back running yesterday (enough to scare myself, and to be working at home today as I was too worried to risk the commute), so my mind was a little pre-occupied when I decided it was a good idea to ask the question here! My back is recovering quite swiftly, although it hurts a lot to touch - it's something muscular judging by the effect ibuprofen have had on it, and the way that reducing the swelling has reduced the problem. I've done it before, but not for a while, and when I could barely lift my right leg yesterday afternoon, I was a little bit scared! The run was fine though, it was after I did 3.5 miles...

Have I distracted yo uall from my idiocy yet? (it's what I like to call...blinding you with science ).

And I do have an ology

Yus...talking about your back, and mentioning your legs and then you doing some excercise - yup. That will distract pretty much all of us.

If that doesn't work, I'll think about mentioning other body parts
