Hi guys, im currently trying to set up a rig of some sort at home for audio recording. I'll probably only need a couple of mic inputs. My question is, where do i go from here haha? I am getting bogged down with the different ways of setting this up and it is blowing my mind. The way I see it i either get a mixing desk n use it in coneection with my PC and set it to be the soundcard as well and run monitors through it or I get an audio interface with a couple of mic inputs? Does the audio interface therefore act as my soundcard? Also, if i get an audio interface will i need anything else in between that and my computer?

hi

you are correct with an audio interface you just simply setup the in your DAW as your sound card. The hard part comes when deciding which audio interface.

cheers
