Just browing eBay as I'm considering a Tele. Came across this. Why is there no clear shot around the neck pickup I wondered. If you enlarge the arty shot from the end, is that a big chunk out of the finish on edge the lower horn?

Clearly the relicing he's referring to!

There's something very wrong about birdseye maple on telecasters. A bit of flame, maybe.

With those pics it will probably sell low, if you're willing to chance it.

Can't see any finish missing there, that's the way Tele neck pockets look. However, I don't know about the rest of the guitar and it is a bit strange that there is no pic of the neck pup, as you say.

Email the seller and ask for some more photos, that'll help.

I don't see anything wrong with the guitar, sure they are crappy photos but maybe the guy is just too stupid or lazy to put proper pics so it will sell for more.. Like someone else said it will sell cheap because of it.

But yeah you always have to remember.. if it's as god as he says it is, why is he selling it?
