Default Best album of 2008?

Really just casting the net to get some ideas about what I might get to add to my CD collection. Currently lacking in inspiration .

So what do think, what great albums have been released this year?

The Feeling's 'Join With Us', Galactic's 'From The Corner To The Block' and The Wildhearts' selftitled one have been my major button-pushers so far this year.

It's quite a short list this year. Any particular style?

Shan't. It's a bloody good album, sort of like what I'd like the Beatles to sound like

My favourite two of the year to date:

Gutter Twins - Saturnalia
Raconteurs - Consolers Of The Lonely.

List might be added to when I get hold of the new Kings Of Leon album!

Also Slipknot and the Backyard Babies' offerings this year have been pretty good, I strongly suspect they're both growers.
