Question eDrums for a 9 year old beginner

I've a friend who's son is looking for a set of electronic drums or their kid aged 9. She's a single parent so isn't rolling in it. Looking to spend around £100. In this price bracket does anyone have any recommendations of what's any good?

Thanks fr your help.

All I'd really say is if possible avoid ion, or anything with just a USB interface or colour-coded pads (anything that screams 'toy', basically).

There's a few halfway-decent kits secondhand at the price you're looking at, not many though; I've got a SessionPro DD506 that I got for less than a ton that's passable (it's put out under a few different brands), you might get an Alesis (just)...

Your going to struggle to find a full functioning electronic drum kit for that price, drum machines etc yes. So second hand would definitely be a good way to go.

If you want to go new something like this Nevada Rocktronic would probably be your best option, more money but worth it!

Cheers guys. I thought it might be a futile search. Think I'll need to convince her second hand is the way to go.
